Located in Los Angeles since 1955, Metal-Crest Contract Seating is a fully-integrated company with its metal fabrication, in-house powder coating and plating facilities. In fact, the company has received national recognition for achievements in metal finishing. Metal-Crest product:

 

16-Gauge Cold Roll Steel:
While others may use 18-gauge steel that has to be reinforced, we use 16-gauge, high-quality, cold roll steel which provides the finest surface for finishing.

 

Mandrel Bended:
Much stronger that the 'crush bending' method, our technique does not weaken the frame or leave an ugly indentation where the bend is made. The result of our CNC Mandrel Benders is a more attractive, secure and stronger bend, equaling a stronger product!

 

Reinforcement Bar:
Helps maintain overall rigidity and significantly increases the chair's working life-the result: we back our frames with a 15-year structural frame warranty-the best in the industry.

 

Corner-to-Corner Style Welds:
A minimum of 12-point welds are placed at the points of highest density and mass for unparalleled strength.

 

Plywood Seats & Backs:
We don't skimp-we use 1/2" plywood on all seats and backs, providing outstanding holding power, increased durability and longevity of product.

 

Foam Padding:
We use 2-1/2" high-density foam on every seat. We know comfort and safety are important to you. In addition, all our foam meets CalTech's Bulletin 117 standard.

 

Premium Floor Glides:
We use the highest quality stainless steel floor glides, standard on every chair

 

Corrosion Test:
Our standard powder coating finishes have been saltwater tested for over 1,000 hours without showing any signs of corrosion.

 

 

Available Chair Back Options:

 

Contour Backs/Tab Style:
Your choice between contour backs that hide the fasteners and create a 'self back' look, or four exposed steel tabs and fasteners to absorb the pressure and hold backs securely in place. Our standard stack chairs feature a 'framed' back with no exposed fasteners.

 

Flex Back:
Any of our stacking chair designs can be specified with or without flexible backs.
